Bitmap Brothers Vs Sensible Software
- Written by: Aidy
Some great news if you're a fan of Speedball 2, Sensible Soccer or any of the other games that came from Bitmap Brothers or Sensible Software back in the 80s and 90s!
Both Mike Montgomery and Jon Hare are coming along to the Centre for Computing History for a special one off event where they'll be talking about their careers and the games they created. There's even going to be a chance for people to play the games on the original consoles and vote on their favourites. The museum's going to be open late after the talk for those of you that want to stick around for some after hours retro gaming. So grab yourself a ticket and I'll see you there!
Date: Saturday 15th August 2015
Location: The Centre for Computing History, Cambridge

The Ort Cafe - 23rd May 2015
- Written by: Aidy
Played Birmingham for the first time in a long time, we did a couple of full band gigs there about 2 years ago and one was at a burlesque show if memory serves me right. This time I was playing a solo acoustic set in a cool little venue called the Ort Cafe supporting Abi Budgen (featured in the pic below). Weird playing without Dave but still managed to crow bar in one of his jokes and some banter about the price of the British IBM merchandise. Also I performed Hey Mikie for the first time, which is a song off the upcoming album Psychopaths Dream in Black and White.
Next Gig is Relevant Records, 25th July 2015.

The Axe & Cleaver - 2nd Oct 2015

The Axe and Cleaver is a Boston base venue and the last time we played here was about four years ago on a UK tour, which is how we met James Woodliffe. We stayed in contact and James has since formed an excellent band called The Vigilantes and so we decided to do a cheeky gig swap. We supported them at the Axe & Cleaver and they're coming to Cambridge tomorrow to play a few songs with us at The Corner House. All three of us turned up for this one and we did the full band thing.
Our next gig is The Corner House, Cambridge 3rd October 2015.

The Architect is in Cambridge, it's the first time I've played here but have been here for a few drinks in the past. Cool pub and does decent beer. Performed a little solo-acoustic set, the evening was arranged by Tim Willet from Cambridge 105. Also on the bill was B-Sydes and Felix from The Abstracts.
Our next gig is Axe & Cleaver, Boston 2nd October 2015.

The Corner House - 16th May 2015

It's been a while since we last played the The Corner House. Seems like there was a time when we were playing there every other week with the likes of Flaming June and Eureka Stockade "back in the day". Was a fun show and was great to meet headliners Psychic Lemon who played an awesome set. Thanks to Ian Guebert from Great Bit Blog for taking the photo.
Our next Cambridge gig is Relevant Records, 25th July 2015.
